Macromedia DreamWeaver 3 :

This product while having a small learning curve for what we wanted to do turned out to be a fine choice for a web creation tool. It was recommended to us, and has much more capability than what we used and will still prove to be a valuable tool as it contains features that will be incorporated later when we don't have to worry about backward compatibility as much.

I would recommend this product to any professional web designer as it seems reasonable to learn and there is no need to worry about frontpage support. This product contains features such as templates, animation, and layers. We used layers at first, but due to a desire in backward compatibility and with netscape, we opted to not use them. There is a conversion utility to convert layers to tables, but it puts your whole page in a table and this significantly slows down load time. One should create from tables. The template feature is nice as well.

Linking is easy, DW3 gives you a nice site map, inserting graphics is reasonable, and you can easily access the html if you want to make a slight tweak.

We initially designed the page with Dreamweaver 2, and didn't find a great noticeable difference between the Dreamweaver 3 and 2.
