We have decided to discontinue the draw.

The winner reponded and the check is in the mail, so that was the last prize we will give out.

Our emphasis is on providing free clipart, so we need to cut costs where we can. We will continue to provide the best clipart that we can for the same great price of free! Hopefully, you will still enjoy our newsletter just as much :)

5. Question of the Week

Q: I appreciate the services that you offer, but due to eBay advertising on your site I am forced to boycott your site as I can only assume that you subscibe to their discriminatory policies by displaying them. I ask that you review their subscription policies, and if you find them as unfair as I do, that you remove them from your advertiser list. And of course advise me as to your feelings and actions.

A: For Info: We had eBay on an 8% rotation on our smaller ads on the top of the main categories. Ebay was also in some sort of low rotation with our ad reps on the larger banner. A couple days after recieving this email, we switched the smaller ad to Visa as it seemed to offer a better affiliate program. You can find the replacement ad in the sponsors section of this newsletter.

I have not actually used eBay beyond a little browsing. I appreciate the service that they offer, but have not been brave enough to buy anything there, nor sell anything. I have friends that have used it and have been quite happy with their service, so I never had a problem with them.

The reason we have eBay ads at all is because they are one of the better known sites out there offering an affiliate program. Our objective is to offer clipart for free, and advertisers are what pays the bills. As far as their policies go, to me it looks like a bunch of legal jargon designed to protect their butts. It does not look out of the ordinary.

I don't know why they would disallow a given individual, but a polite letter to eBay's management may be far more effective than boycotting other sites trying to pay for their own costs and time. Hopefully you find our service is worth overlooking your differences with eBay.
