1. Site News
You may notice that we organized the format of them main page on the lower half by moving around the links and reducing the numbers of buttons. This helps with load time and we intended to offer easier access to our top sites. Not to worry about the button reduction, you can still access all of these sites through our additional links sections which are the green links on the top sites lists on the main page.
We had a problem this weekend with our ad server, which slowed down loading significantly. The problem appears to be corrected now. Sorry about any inconvienience. If you looked during this time, it appeared to only load the top frame. After waiting a bit, it would load the rest of the page. Also had some local Internet problems that prevented us from getting the request page open right exactly at 10, for the last couple of times. These problems appear also to be fixed. The request page was opened extra to make up. We have continued working on a review of sites we link to. This will be added within a couple of days. If you want us to review your site for inclusion into these reviews, you can make a username at the following url: http://www.clipsahoy.com/cgi-bin/AutoRank/accounts.cgi This will give you some linking code. Sites that are actively linking to us with the code, will be reviewed and included(as long as they are not smut sites)

We will be adding a ton of new clipart in various categories, will list them in the next newsletter. We are still considering adding a category for school with various clipart associated by color.

5. Question of the Week

Q: Is the focus on your clip art or the advertising?

A: Our focus is definately on the clipart as you can see by the amount we try to add even when we don't have a lot of time. The advertising is also important however as this is where we make our money. The advertising I am referring to is the banner ad near the top of every page. These companies pay us based on the number of pages people look at and/or by how often people click on those banners. Since these companies pay for our costs and time, we are able to offer the clipart for free. The other advertising that one might consider is the many buttons or links to other sites. These are usually placed in exchange for a button or link to us. Many of these are based on how many times people click on them. The more often people click, the higher we are on their list. This is a form of voting for us, so please click on any link you find on our page as this will give us more exposure and clicking on the banner is also a way for you to reward us for a job well done. Of course, if you have a web page, home page, or lots of friends with computers, let them know about us through a link or an email :)
