Dear Newsletter-Subscriber: CLIPS AHOY! Free Clipart UPDATE newsletter Volume 1 edition 31 http://www.ClipsAhoy.com This is our 31th newsletter and we are glad you could be part of it. So onto what you are interested in: NEWS UPDATES! 1. Site news --------------------------------- Free Money from Clips Ahoy! We have a monthly draw in which we draw a name from our active subscribers. Why? Because we appreciate your interest in our site. Active subscriber is the key word though, if we draw someone that is listed as unsubscibed we have to draw again. If the winner doesn't notify us of their address before the newsletter after they are announced, we will throw them back into the hat and announce someone else in the next newsletter. Draw is the first newsletter of each month. You should note that we are not publicly displaying the win $20 note at this time, but that we still doing the draw. You thought you were only getting an email telling you about new clipart, not money :) Feel Free to let your friends know, but only if they like reading about what new clipart we are adding! The winner last week did not respond, the new winner of the draw is somewhere in this newsletter! Added into our ads is a recommending us link. If you click that link, you can type in a couple email addresses and it emails them suggesting our site. If you use that service to recommend us, there is a chance you will win $10,000 in a draw hosted by the service we are using. ------------------------------------ Under Clothing we added a new category called Accessories. ------------------------------ 3. A: First, normally insert the clipart into word as per normal. A quick trick for pc is to right click on the picture on the site, select copy, open word, right click where you want to put it, and select paste. (the quick trick works for most, but not all pc users). Resize the clipart to the size you want it in your document by going onto the corner until you get black arrows pointing opposite directions. Click and hold while you drag the dotted lines to the size you like. Make sure that the clipart is selected, this is shown by a box around it. If it is not selected the next step may not go smoothly. Go to Insert, then select Text box from the menu. Your cursor will change to a cross hair. Go to the top left corner of where you want the text, hold the mouse button and drag the mouse to where you want the bottom right hand corner. Release the mouse button, you will now have a box with a flashing cursor on top of the clipart. Type what you want to say. The text box can be resized the same way as the clipart can, by dragging the double arrows that appear when you move the mouse on the border of the selected box. You may also want to change font and appearance of the letters. This is done by holding the mouse button while you drag over the letters to select them. After that you can go up to the times new roman, bolding, text color, or whatever and change whatever is highlighted in black. Once you are done that part, you want to go to the format menu, and select text box. When that opens you will want to click the down arrows in the boxes inside the fill, and line(color) areas and select no fill, and no line for each one respectively. You will see that you now have text on the area you want, you may wish to fool around with your text box to line up or adjust. You can drag the text box itself around as well. Q: Who is the winner that replaces last week's non responding winner? A: XXXXXXXXX! You have until next newsletter to let me know what your mailing address is, and I will send you the 20 bucks. Please use the email you get your newsletter from to confirm it is you! ----------------------------------------------- Please feel free to submit your site if you are using our clipart on it. We love to see our clipart in action. We will list it right here, and eventually in our archive. http://www.Clipsahoy.com/cgi-bin/AutoRank/out.cgi?trish ------------------- We will be adding a ton of new clipart in various categories. ------------------- Thanks for reading our newsletter.
